Life in a fast lane

I was chatting with a friend of mine. I took a weird turn. I don't know how we came to discuss it but suddenly something flashed in my mind. We meet so many people in our lives. So of them become very good friends. but when you are busy and can't keep in touch. your friendship fades away. Given sufficient time you will forget to find out how they are doing. what is happening in their life and all. still more time you begin to forget you had met someone who resembled them. still more time they cease to exist for you. is that friendship all about. the momentary happiness you enjoy being with that person. and a year hence not even remember that person existed. has the world come to a point where people don't have time for lifelong friendships but just acquiantances for a short duration. Has our life become so fast that we don't even have time to say hi to the ones with whom we spent our most joyous time whose memories are long forgotten.

Hmm... so tru. Intially, as a kid fresh from school, i used to feel miserable while parting from frenz. Have even cried myself to sleep! But well, today after a few grey hairs, meeting a host of people, et al, i subscribe to one philosophy: this too shall pass away...
cycnical but works for me.
On the sunnier side, must say tht i still keep in touch with my frenz. Its truly about how u manage ur life, and take time out to meet people who matter to u. As a wise man said... i forgot wht he said :-)) well, enjoy life 'n' the moment as long as it lasts.
